How about grow a lot of plants?

I keep reading articles telling me now is the time to clean out the greenhouse, use it for storage, compost in it etc.

But instead I am about to go on a growing frenzy!

All you need is plenty of

• Ventilation
• Shade
• Moisture

My greenhouse plants outgrow my wicking bed plants hands down as long as I don't let them overheat and don't forget to add some water to the sump tank in the aquaponics system every month.

Even when outside temps get over 100 with ventilation and shade combined with the polycarbonate to keep the direct sun off the plants I get plenty of growth. The water in the aquaponics system heats up during the day (along with the gravel in the beds and on the ground) and I get great growing temps 24 hours a day during the summer.

What kind of plants do well in a summer greenhouse

• tomatoes
• cantelope
• watermelon
• peppers
• cucumbers

I get lettuce growing like crazy in the floating raft system so much so that I have to stagger the planting since they grow so very, very fast during summer.
